Crunchy & Creamy Broccoli Salad
I have been looking for this recipe forever and I didn’t even know it was right under my nose. This recipe is from my daughter, McKinzie. I love the cranberries, bacon and sesame seeds. It’s a perfect flavor. 🙂
- 1 pound broccoli slaw or cut up your own in bite sized pieces
- 1 cup cooked bacon pieces ((or 1 pound cooked and chopped up))
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries, diced
- 3/4 cup roasted sunflower kernels
- 1 cup mayonnaise ((can use light if desired))
- 1/2 cup sugar ((can use sweetner substitute if desired))
- 2 teaspoon white vinegar
In a large bowl, toss broccoli with bacon, onion, cranberries and sunflower kernels. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar together. Pour over salad mixture and stir. Refrigerate until needed. Great for barbecues and picnics.
