Crunchy & Creamy Broccoli Salad

I have been looking for this recipe forever and I didn’t even know it was right under my nose.  This recipe is from my daughter, McKinzie.  I love the cranberries, bacon and sesame seeds.  It’s a perfect flavor.  🙂

  • 1 pound broccoli slaw or cut up your own in bite sized pieces
  • 1 cup cooked bacon pieces ((or 1 pound cooked and chopped up))
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, diced
  • 3/4 cup roasted sunflower kernels
  • 1 cup mayonnaise ((can use light if desired))
  • 1/2 cup sugar ((can use sweetner substitute if desired))
  • 2 teaspoon white vinegar
  1. In a large bowl, toss broccoli with bacon, onion, cranberries and sunflower kernels.  Set aside.  In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar together.  Pour over salad mixture and stir.  Refrigerate until needed.  Great for barbecues and picnics.
