Homestyle Cookies & Cream Cookies
These are super easy to make. I love cookies made with cake mix. This would be super yummy made with the triple chocolate fudge cake mix.
- 1 box devil's food cake mix
- 2 whole eggs
- 1/2 cup shortening
Frosting/Middle
- 4 oz cream cheese, room temp
- 2 Tablespoon butter, room temp
- 4-1/2 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350*. Mix eggs and cake mix. Add in the shortening and mix well. Roll into very small balls. (I use my scoop that is half-size of cookie scoop). Bake for 10 minutes. Cool.
Frosting: Cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. I like to use a piping bag to put frosting on cookie. You can use just about any cake mix for this recipe for a variety. Try strawberry for strawberries & cream. The variations are limitless.
