Nutella Strawberry Eclair Dessert
I should've never ever tasted this dessert. It took me awhile to try it because I don't like Nutella, but when I did, I was hooked. I love the lightness of the crust and the creamy pudding. This is another one of my husband's favorites. McKinzie made this for a few of our family get-togethers. This last January, Kalani was insistent on this being her "birthday cake". We just love it that much. Enjoy!
Crust
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 whole eggs
Bavarian Cream Layer
- 2 small boxes vanilla instant pudding
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
Toppings
- 2 cups strawberries (sliced)
- 3/4 cup Nutella
Crust
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Boil water and butter together in a medium sauce pan. Remove from heat. Beat in the flour and sugar with hand mixer. Add eggs one at a time, continuously beating. Spray jelly roll pan with cooking spray. Spread mixture evenly in pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely.
Cream
In a medium mixing bowl, combine pudding, cream and milk together and beat until smooth and thick. Spread over cooled crust. Spread strawberries over dessert. Using a piping bag, drizzle warmed Nutella over dessert and strawberries. Refrigerate for one hour before serving.
