Best Ever Homemade Spaghetti Marinara Sauce
I have been looking for a great sauce for some time. I found this one on Pinterest from Culinary Hill. My grand daughter, Kamrie, wanted to come and cook with me this evening. She really wanted to have spaghetti with homemade sauce. I added a bit more meat than Culinary Hill called for, but I have to say. I am so impressed with this one and love it tons. Enjoy! 🙂
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 pound ground italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped (I used dried onion)
- 4 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 28oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 15oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 6oz. can tomato paste
- 2 Tablespoon sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
In a large sauce pan, brown hamburger, sausage, onions and garlic. Add in all other ingredients and stir. Simmer for 30 minutes. Before serving, remove bay leaf and add salt and pepper. That’s it. Super easy and amazing taste. If you would like to look at the original recipe, click here: https://www.culinaryhill.com/homemade-meat-sauce/#wprm-recipe-container-27514.
