I have been looking for a great sauce for some time. I found this one on Pinterest from Culinary Hill. My grand daughter, Kamrie, wanted to come and cook with me this evening. She really wanted to have spaghetti with homemade sauce. I added a bit more meat than Culinary Hill called for, but I have to say. I am so impressed with this one and love it tons. Enjoy! :)
Ingredients
2poundslean ground beef
1poundground italian sausage
1mediumonion, chopped (I used dried onion)
4teaspoonminced garlic
128oz. cancrushed tomatoes
115oz. can tomato sauce
16oz. cantomato paste
2Tablespoonsugar
1-1/2teaspoonsdried basil
1teaspoonfennel seeds
1bay leaf
1teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonpepper
Instructions
In a large sauce pan, brown hamburger, sausage, onions and garlic. Add in all other ingredients and stir. Simmer for 30 minutes. Before serving, remove bay leaf and add salt and pepper. That's it.
