Stephanie's Sugar Cookies
I LOVE sugar cookies!!!! They are my most favorite. I love all kinds. But, this is my most favorite so far. At least once a year, Steph makes huge batches of these for all of the extended family. They are a very coveted item.
- 2 cups butter, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 whole eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 16 oz. sour cream
- 3 teaspoon soda
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 8-10 cups flour
Preheat oven to 350*. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream. Mix. Add soda, salt and flour until dough is not sticky. You can refrigerate the dough if desired before rolling out. Roll out to 1/4 inch or less. Bake for about 8-10 minutes. Do not allow to over bake. Take out before brown on top. This will insure they stay soft and yummy. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
