Ingredients

Sugar Syrup

  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 ounces each) packages frozen presweetened raspberries
  • 2 (16 ounces each) cans crushed pineapple drained
  • 1 lemon juiced, reserved
  • 4 oranges juiced, reserved

To Serve

  • 2 liter lemon-lime soda

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
In a large bowl or freezer-safe container, combine the frozen raspberries, crushed pineapple, orange juice, and lemon juice.
Pour the cooled sugar syrup over the fruit mixture and stir gently to combine.
    Cover and freeze until firm.
About 1 hour before serving, remove from the freezer and allow the mixture to soften slightly.
Break the slush into chunks and transfer to a punch bowl.
Pour 7-Up or Sprite over the slush just before serving and stir gently.

Notes

  • This recipe is meant to be made ahead and frozen solid.
Thawing for about an hour allows the mixture to break up easily without fully melting.
Adjust the amount of soda added depending on how strong or slushy you prefer the punch.
This punch works well for showers, holidays, and large gatherings.
