Rainbow Jello Layers

A vibrant layered jello dessert made with assorted gelatin flavors and creamy condensed milk layers. This eye-catching recipe is ideal for parties, birthdays, and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 (3oz.) pkgs assorted gelatins
  • 6 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 5-3/4 cups boiling water divided
  • 1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 8oz. container whipped topping

Instructions

Instructions

  • Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
In a bowl, combine 1 package flavored gelatin with 1 envelope unflavored gelatin. Stir in 1 cup boiling water until completely dissolved. Pour into the prepared dish and refrigerate until almost set but still slightly tacky, about 20–25 minutes.
For the creamy layer, sprinkle 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin over ¼ cup cold water and let stand for 1 minute. Stir in ¾ cup boiling water until fully dissolved. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until smooth.
Carefully pour 1 cup of the creamy mixture over the first flavored layer. Return to the refrigerator and chill until firm, about 20–25 minutes.
Repeat the process, alternating flavored gelatin layers and creamy layers, allowing each layer to set before adding the next. Continue until all layers are used.
After the final layer is set, refrigerate the dessert for at least 1 hour.
Spread whipped topping evenly over the top. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Allow each layer to set until firm but slightly tacky before adding the next layer to keep the layers distinct and prevent bleeding.
Pour new layers slowly over the back of a spoon to avoid disturbing the layer underneath.
For best results, use clear or bright gelatin flavors so the layers remain vibrant when sliced.
This dessert is ideal for making ahead and can be refrigerated, covered, for up to 24 hours before serving.
Use a sharp knife wiped clean between cuts for neat, defined slices.
