Servings: 6 servings

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 3 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 Tablespoon prepared white horseradish sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 salmon fillets or steaks about 1 inch thick

Creamy Horseradish Sauce

  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoon prepared white horseradish sauce
  • 2 Tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Instructions

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, horseradish, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Brush the mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon. Set aside while the grill heats.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly coat grates with nonstick spray.
Grill salmon for 5–10 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily and is cooked through.

To Make the Sauce

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. For best flavor, prepare the sauce at least 4 hours ahead to allow flavors to blend.
Serve salmon warm with the creamy horseradish sauce on the side.

Notes

  • This salmon is forgiving and remains flavorful even if slightly overcooked.
The sauce does not taste as balanced on its own but pairs perfectly with the salmon.
This dish pairs well with rice pilaf, roasted vegetables, or steamed broccoli.
Leftover sauce keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
