A classic hot wassail made with apple cider, citrus juices, warm spices, and honey, simmered slowly for rich flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 Gallon apple cider
  • 1 (6 ounce) can orange juice concentrate
  • 1 (6 ounce) can lemonade concentrate
  • 1 (46 ounce) can pineapple juice
  • 1 Tablespoon whole cloves
  • 2 sticks whole cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cups honey or sugar

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and stir to combine.
    Cover and heat on LOW for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally, until hot and well blended.
    Once heated through, switch the slow cooker to WARM and serve directly from the crock.

Notes

  • This wassail is meant to simmer gently; avoid boiling.
    Adjust sweetness to taste by starting with slightly less honey or sugar and adding more if needed.
    Whole spices can be removed before serving if preferred, or left in for continued flavor.
    This recipe is ideal for parties and can be kept warm for several hours.
    Store in refrigerator and warm, as desired.
