Chicken Crescents

These chicken crescents are a longtime family favorite and a simple, comforting dinner option. Tender chicken is mixed with cream cheese and seasonings, wrapped in soft crescent dough, and baked until golden. Served with mashed potatoes and gravy, they make an easy, satisfying meal that works well for both busy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 3 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1 Tablespoon butter melted
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 2 cups cooked chicken finely chopped

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
    In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients except the crescent rolls until well combined.
    Unroll crescent dough and press seams together. Cut into 4 rectangles (do not separate into triangles).
    Place one scoop of chicken mixture in the center of each rectangle.
    Fold dough over filling and pinch edges to seal, forming a pocket.
    Place crescents seam-side down on a baking sheet.
    Bake for 20–30 minutes, or until golden brown.
    Serve warm with mashed potatoes and chicken gravy, if desired.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken works especially well in this recipe.
    Be sure to seal edges well to prevent filling from leaking.
    These reheat nicely for leftovers.
