This creamy veggie dip is simple to make and full of classic, well-balanced flavor. It comes together quickly and works well for gatherings, snacks, or make-ahead entertaining.

Best Veggie Dip

A smooth, classic vegetable dip made with sour cream, mayonnaise, herbs, and a homemade Bon Appétit–style seasoning blend. Easy to prepare and best when chilled ahead of time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon bon appetite see below

Bon Appetite

  • 1 Tablespoon celery salt
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

Ingredients

  • In a small bowl, combine the celery salt, sugar, and onion powder. Stir until evenly mixed to create the Bon Appétit seasoning.
    In a medium mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley flakes, dried minced onion, and dill weed.
    Add 1 teaspoon of the prepared Bon Appétit seasoning to the dip mixture.
    Stir until smooth and fully combined.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. For best flavor, chill overnight.
    Stir before serving and serve with fresh vegetables or crackers.

Notes

  • This dip tastes best when made ahead and allowed to chill for several hours or overnight.
    Adjust the amount of Bon Appétit seasoning to taste if you prefer a stronger or milder flavor.
    Serve with fresh vegetables, crackers, or pretzels.
    Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving.
