Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

This is my gift to you. My family loves the ranch dressing in many restaurants. This one is a lot like those. I got this recipe from my mom, Irene. She made this my entire time growing up. We loved it with everything. I remember dipping a saltine cracker into this when she would make it to just "test" the flavor and make sure it was okay. Haha. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do. Enjoy!

  • 1 quart mayo (not Miracle Whip)
  • 2-1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 Tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Accent (or MSG (I have omitted this and it still tastes great))
  • 1 teaspoon course ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  1. Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Let stand for about an hour before serving to make sure ingredients have infused. Enjoy!!
