Mama King's Peanut Butter Oreo Cream Cheese Delight

I love this dessert.  This is adapted from one of the Kraft recipes (PB Striped Delight).  I found this recipe quite a few years ago.  I’m going to have to say that this is even better than Better than Sex Cake :).  You’ll love it!

  • 37 Oreo or chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 6 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 8oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons milk or heavy cream
  • 1 8oz. tub whipped topping such as Cool Whip
  • 3 cups cups milk
  • 2 3.4oz. pkgs vanilla flavored instant pudding
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  1. Crush 35 cookies into fine crumbs (may use food processor).  Mix crumbs and melted butter together and press into a 9×13″ pan.  Refrigerate for 10 minutes while you make the next layer.

  2. Beat cream cheese, 2 Tablespoons of milk and sugar until light and creamy.  Mix in 1-1/4 cups of whipped topping until well incorporated.  Drop by spoonfuls over the bottom layer and then spread.  I find if I do many drops, it makes it much easier to spread without pulling up the crust.  Refrigerate while you make next layer.

  3. Next, beat 3 cups of milk with the two pudding mixes for about 2 minutes.  Add the peanut butter and mix well and smooth.  I like to make mine with a little more for flavor.  Pour over the cream cheese layer and spread.  Refrigerate for about 5 minutes.  Then, spread remaining whipped topping on top.

  4. Crush the remaining 2 cookies and then sprinkle on top of dessert.  Let sit in refrigerator for 4 hours before serving.  I find that the longer I let it sit, the better it is…..usually overnight.
