Quick & Easy Wilderness Chili

I love this recipe I got from my mother-in-law years ago.  I have entered this in to many a chili cook-off.  This is always a hit and so easy to make.  I almost feel guilty entering it.  Your family will enjoy this.  

  • 3 15oz. cans Ranch Style Beans (black label) (I have also used western beans and it works out great.)
  • 2 8oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1 15oz. can full of water (from the bean can)
  • 1/2 cup honey bbq sauce (or as desired)
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1-1/2-2 pounds lean ground beef
  1. Brown hamburger with onions until done.  Drain any excess grease.  Add all other ingredients.  Stir.  Cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Serve with grated cheese, if desired.  We love this with Mama King’s cornbread.
