Apple Crisp
This is a warm and hearty comfort dessert. Can also be made with canned apple filling to make it even easier. I like to double my topping. Recipe shown has been made with double topping.
- 4 cups apples, sliced or diced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoon melted butter or margarine
Topping
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
- 1/8 teaspoon soda
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour

Preheat oven to 350*. Mix apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter together. Line 9×13 baking dish sprayed with non-stick spray with mixture. Mix topping ingredients together until a crumb type mixture is created. Sprinkle over top of apple mixture, evenly. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with ice cream and caramel topping.
